The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has been preparing teachers for more than 150 years, earning an outstanding reputation as an institution that is committed to quality in its educational offerings. With programs approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, you'll be prepared for a career in education at the level of your choice. You'll develop communication skills including technology and media, knowledge of content and how to teach that content, and human relations. You'll have the opportunity to participate in service learning opportunities that provide meaningful community service and real-world application of your classroom learning.
Focus areas: Infants, toddler and preschool programs, kindergarten and elementary grades up through grade six.
Focus areas: Birth through age 21 for fields such as foreign language, music, art, physical education, technology, or agriculture
Focus areas: Middle level education of grades 1-8, integrated learning design, project based learning
Focus areas: Middle and secondary levels for those teaching the age range of 10-21
Focus areas: Develop in areas of research, instruction, and leadership for already licensed teachers
Focus areas: Mental health, counseling, substance abuse counseling, and human services - offered in a hybrid format
Focus areas: Design, deliver, and assess educational programs for adults - offered in a hybrid format
